Overview
The Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF) combines knowledge and practice qualification for those specialist support staff roles that directly support teaching and learning.  The Level 3 Diploma recognises competence in both generic and specialist aspects of supporting teaching and learning in schools.
If you work in a school for 16+ as a Teaching Assistant or a one-to-one Teaching Assistant then this course is perfect for you.

 
What will I Learn?
Our course gives you the opportunity to become a qualified Specialist Teaching Assistant.  You will gain a comprehensive knowledge & a range of skills enabling you to take part in a wide variety of support activities in the classroom.
 

What will it lead to?
There will always be a need for Teaching Assistants & Specialist Teaching Assistants in education, the job can often be a more personal experience than as a teacher, it’s a vital role in the classroom.  You will have the opportunity to improve & develop your skills of working with children, helping them learn – a fulfilling & rewarding experience!
 
You will gain the full Apprenticeship
Diploma in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 3 (QCF)
Essential Skills in Communication, Application of Number & Digital Literacy Level 2.

This course is available as an Apprenticeship Programme through Welsh Government funding for people who are employed in a school, but have no formal qualifications as a Teaching Assistant.
